THERAPEUTIC DANCE

When we dance in deep connection with others slowly, with breath, sharing slow intentional grounded movement…something shifts within us. We can become fully present. Suddenly all worries and stress disappear into the background. There is only movement, connection, breath…and the music to inspire the next co-creation. Attunement. We learn about ourselves, how to have healthy connection and attachment responses as we dance with and also solo. How to stay fully grounded and listen to our deepest needs.

ASSISTED STRETCHING

Have you ever heard of Assisted Stretching or PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation)? It’s like having someone do yoga to your body while you are cued with proper breathing so that your whole nervous system can relax into every stretch.

I help people with mobility, take away pain, help with recovery or prevention of injuries, and educate people on how to rebalance their body into its most happy and efficient easeful version.

I also do personal training called corrective exercise/functional fitness routine to help people train for their favorite sports or just move in better healthier ways.

PERSONAL TRAINING

& Custom YOGA

Every Body is unique. Yours is no exception.

Not every yoga post is suitable for every body. Some people are hyper flexible, some are extremely tight, but typically it varies throughout the body. I began teaching yoga coming from a background of corrective exercise and functional fitness. This means I had been trained to see the imbalances in bodies, and to be able to strengthen weak areas, and stretch the tight and strong areas to recreate balance in the body. To create a well oiled machine. To bring back full functionality and ease in the body for whatever passions would be pursued. I love teaching yoga but it was immediately obvious to me how hard it was to design a class that would suit what every body would need. Such a dynamic range of bodies in every class! I would have a hard time watching as I taught, or as I took other classes, witnessing people putting their bodies in positions that were not helping them come back into balance.
